Advanced digital printing from either negatives or digital files

This workshop is geared to those who wish to utilize digital printing from either a negative or a digital file. The workshop will discuss working with Adobe Photoshop™ to setup a personal digital workflow. Participants will be able to utilize an Imacon Flextight to create digital files from negatives. basic color managment and digital printing techniques will be the main focus of the workshop. A participant should leave the workshop with the ability to setup a digital workflow upon departure from the workshop.

Techniques for enhancing your photographs with tonal & color correction, as one use to apply in the darkroom are emphasized.

Day 1
Morning—Scanning & Digital Capture techniques—Highlight, Shadow, & Midtones

Afternoon—Adjustment Layers & color management discussion.

Day 2
Morning—Choosing the correct substrate(paper) for your image, color correction & tonl correction techniques.

Afternoon—Tonal placement utilizing the Info Pallette.
